We're delighted to announce that Dr Tom Olbrich has joined Archer-IP as a patent attorney.

Tom is a PhD physicist (Medical Physics, Newcastle University), with a Dipl.-Ing. (Munich University of Applied Sciences) in Engineering (Technical Physics) and a BSc(Hons.) in Applied Physics (Nottingham Trent University). Together these give him a strong grounding in engineering and physical sciences, backed by over two decades of experience drafting and prosecuting patents across Europe and worldwide. His technical range is broad, covering everything from everyday consumer products through to semiconductors, medical devices, sporting goods, power tools, and oil & gas technology, built up across several established European IP firms.

What matters most to us is how Tom works with clients. He takes the time to properly understand a business and its products before advising on strategy, rather than treating patent drafting as a purely technical exercise. That's exactly the approach we believe clients deserve, and it's a big part of why we're so glad to have him with us.
